Panasonic DLP Projector Takes Award at InfoComm

  • On June 7 Panasonic Projector Systems Company, Unit of Panasonic Corporation of North America, was recognized at the InfoComm Awards Banquet as having one of the top products in the audiovisual industry. Rental & Staging Systems magazine and InfoComm International presented the Best Video Projector Award (for product released in 2005) for the Panasonic PT-D7700.
  • Panasonics PT-D7700 is one of the worlds lightest 3-chip SXGA+ DLP projectors. With a reduced cabinet size only one-fifth the size of conventional large-venue 3-chip DLP based projectors, the PT-D7700 is an alternative to bulky projectors that delivers high quality images. It is ideally suited for large auditoriums, conference rooms, command and control centers and other facilities that require extended time operation. The PT-D7700 produces 7,000 lumens of brightness and delivers a theater-quality 4000:1 contrast ratio.
  • "Were very excited to see our projector honored by InfoComm and Rental & Staging Systems magazine," said Steve Abend, National Sales Manager of Panasonic Projector Systems Company. "We worked very closely with U.S. rental houses and our factory engineers to build a projector to best serve the market and the PT-D7700 has delivered with the technology and features that consistently perform well for our customers. It also served as the foundation from which we developed the new 10000 series projectors being shown at InfoComm today."
  • The Rental & Staging Systems Product Awards honor outstanding products, introduced in 2005, that are specifically designed for the rental and staging market. Nominated products were chosen by a panel of judges consisting of the staff of Rental & Staging Systems magazine and members of InfoComms Rental and Staging Council, with input from dozens of top staging industry professionals. The awards were decided on the basis of a readers' poll conducted by the magazine.
  • Panasonic will be featured in the July/August 2006 awards issue of Rental & Staging Systems and on the Rental & Staging Systems and InfoComm websites at www.rentalandstaging.com and www.infocomm.org.
