Focus on Lighting and Staging at InfoComm 06

  • InfoComm 06 is going to be the place to be for lighting and staging solutions and education this spring, June 3-9, 2006, in Orlando. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of InfoComms Rental & Staging Council, the Show has a significant selection of seminars, courses and special events catering to the R&S community.
  • The InfoComm Rental & Staging Council is playing a major role in the Super Tuesday seminars on June 6 with six-hour blocks of pre-show instruction in staging operations and leadership. Super Tuesdays Management Track will cover topics such as Everyday Financial
  • Analysis, Human Resource Management and Risk Management. In the Operations Track, choose from Leadership for Supervisors, Logistics for Staging Companies and other courses designed to improve your business skills. Sessions will be hosted by members of the Rental & Staging Council and taught by leading professionals.
  • InfoComm Academy will be conducting its world-class seminars at the Show including a three-day Institute for Professional Development. Sign up for the IPD and 06 classes in InfoComms rental and staging track with Sorting Loudspeakers and Array Arithmetic, Performance Venues, Wireless Microphones for Rental & Staging, The Anatomy of an Orlando Staging & Rental Event, Integrating Lighting Design and AV Services, Working Successfully with Labor, Power Distribution and much more. The Academy program will also include education sessions provided by the ESTA Foundation.
  • The InfoComm 06 Exhibit Hall at the Orange County Convention Center offers over 10,000 products including professional audio, entertainment and architectural lighting, staging, rigging and displays in action. Get up close to the latest audio technology at InfoComms Audio Demo Rooms, powered by some of the industrys top audio equipment manufacturers such as Harman Pro Group, Renkus-Heinz, Tannoy and Telex Communications among others.
  • The popular Lighting & Staging Pavilion returns with support from Lighting&Sound America and PLASA. Over 50 exhibitors in the pavilion include Creative Stage Lighting, Digital Projection, Element Labs, High End Systems, Lightronics, Philips, Rose Brand, Show Distribution, Techni-Lux, and others.
  • The Large Venue Display Gallery, the only gallery of its kind in the world, features high-definition, high-resolution display and projection solutions for stadiums, concerts and corporate events in one convenient viewing location. The Gallery at InfoComm 06 is being managed by Extron Electronics, providing the technical engineering support, source material production and project management under the direction of Steve Somers, V.P. of Engineering at Extron.
  • In 2006, InfoComm is again teaming up with its host city for technology tours of area attractions and facilities. Take a behind-the-scenes look at Cirque du Soleils La Nouba, and see how the resident show is brought to life at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.
  • Enjoy the company of colleagues at the well-attended Rental & Staging Forum, hosted by InfoComms Rental & Staging Council. Industry professionals share solutions and provide insight on trends and business practices in the industry.
  • This years special opening event on June 6 will feature a standout sound, lighting and video reinforcement system courtesy of Barco and Telex, as well as a performance by national recording artists, The Smithereens, and the comedy of the Raspyni Brothers.
