  • DALLAS, TX--Respected veteran manufacturers' representative Dick Bellew Sales, announced the loss of president and owner Dick Bellew, who passed away peacefully on January 16, 2007 due to sudden complications from cancer.

Dick Bellew, Jr. received his Business degree from Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He successfully completed Officers Candidate School at Ft. Benning, Georgia, and served two years as an officer in the Army Security Agency. Dick began working with his father, Dick Bellew, Sr. in 1961 as a salesman covering Arkansas, Louisiana and western Tennessee. In January 1981, the company expanded into Texas and Oklahoma at the request of the companies they represented. Today, Dick Bellew Sales, Inc. covers Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas, excluding El Paso.

As President, Dick Bellew, Jr. oversaw the daily operations of the company, and maintained extensive personal contact with accounts in southern Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. He was a past President, past Chairman of the Board and active member of the Southwestern Chapter of the Electronics Representatives Association.

He leaves behind a tremendous record of achievement and an accomplished sales team committed to pursuing his vision. While mourning his loss, the company confirmed they will continue the rich tradition of motivated, goal-oriented sales and service their principals and customers have enjoyed since 1958.
