BEIJING—Barco is partnering with Beijing Communication School on the installation of its Metro subway simulation training system. The new system, which is part of a RMB100 million investment at the Beijing Communication School’s new training center, is designed to train Metro subway drivers at from Beijing and other Chinese cities.
The system utilizes the BarcoReality SIM 5, a dedicated projection solution for training and simulation. The SIM 5 delivers the highest level of near-reality immersive visualization. A number of its key technical benefits include seamless edge blending both in bright and dark scenes, a full-fledged debriefing solution including picture-inpicture possibilities and a wide variety of 120-degree curved-screen applications.
