At the AV Communications Excellence Awards Banquet at InfoComm, Bob Leon of Colortone Audio Visual Staging & Rentals (CSR), of Cleveland,Ohio (on right) received a Rental & Staging Award from Rental & Staging Systems executive editor David Keene.Rental & Staging Systems magazine and the International Communications Industries Association, Inc., (ICIA), presented the third annual Rental & Staging Systems Awards at the AV Communications Excellence Awards Banquet June 7, 2005, at InfoComm, the largest tradeshow for the professional audiovisual industry.

The Rental & Staging Systems Awards honor outstanding accomplishments in design and AV production for a broad collection of staged events for both corporate and entertainment venues. Each entry was evaluated by a panel of judges and the ICIA Rental and Staging Council. Entries were judged on the fulfillment of the event producer's concept, the professionalism of show production and execution, the advanced technology used in the event staging, the creative use of technology, and the satisfaction of the client.

The 2005 winners of the Rental & Staging Systems Awards, Best Staged Events of 2004, are:

Rental & Staging Systems Awards Presented at InfoComm

The winners of the second annual Rental & Staging Systems Awards were presented at ICIAs smash-hit AV Communications Excellence Awards Banquet, June 8 at InfoComm. The Awards Banquet, a sold-out, high-profile event at InfoComm, enabled more than 500 AV professionals to celebrate the success of leaders and pioneers in the industry. The success of the banquet (held the night prior to the opening of the show floor) was a great kick-off to InfoComm, and a chance for the industry to honor their peers.

Rental & Staging Systems magazine, together with the InfoComm International, Inc., is now accepting entries for the 2006 Rental & Staging Systems Awards.

Rental & Staging Awards Deadline Extended

Rental & Staging Systems magazine is still accepting entries for the 2005 Rental & Staging Systems Awards. The entry deadline for the staged event portion of the Awards program has been extended, to accommodate international entries and at the request of stagers who are busy with 2005's busy agenda of shows.

Rental & Staging Awards-Call for Entries

The International Communications Industries Association and Rental & Staging Systems magazine are accepting entries for the 2005 Rental & Staging Systems Awards. The entry deadline for the staged event portion of the Awards program is February 7, 2005.

Rental & Staging Heats up InfoComm

Tom Stimson of Alford Media, chairman of the ICIA Rental & Staging Council, hosted what was billed as the largest panel ever held at a Council meeting, the opening day of InfoComm.

Rental & Staging Technology at InfoComm

The rental and staging market will be well represented (in addition to the Rental & Staging Awards) at InfoComm. The Rental Staging Council Meeting will be held on June 6, Super Tuesday. (Last years Rental Staging Council Forum featured a state of the art audience response system from Meridia Audience Response Services, and some of the results of immediate audience polling on hot topics was surprising.) Also on Super Tuesday, a special Rental & Staging Management & Operations course will be held. Don Guzauckas, Jr, of the HB Group, Inc., and Tom Stimson, of Alford Media Services, under the auspices of the InfoComm Rental and Staging Council, will present a Super Tuesday with something for everyone. Tracks are available for management and operations separately so the content will be relevant to your job. A joint session starts the day. Then, Management Track topics will include: Everyday Financial Analysis; Human Resource Management; Risk Management. Operations Track topics
