EV's ZX1 Provides Sound Solution At Miami Church

Drummer Boy Sound (DBS) installed Electro-Voice loudspeakers, amps and wireless microphone systems in the Holy Ghost Assembly of the Apostolic Faith Church in Miami, FL, helping the church achieve its goal of providing pro audio sound quality on a consumer audio budget.

DBS owner Harold Cummings described the installation process:

"The previous system used by the church was based on clumsy, consumer grade gear that wasn't doing the job for the 500-person congregation. Bishop Johnson asked me to design a system that would improve the sound quality, have reliable performance and that would last. I specified equipment from EV, including the QRx112, Q series amplifiers, the Sb121 and an RE-2 wireless system with N/D767 capsules, that would provide an ideal balance of durability, sound quality and budget-friendliness.

"But the stars of the show are the ZX1 monitors," Cummings continued. "The ZX1 is new to the industry. It took me about 30 minutes to run the speaker cables through the stage and make the NL4 connections. The sonic coverage, depth and clarity coming from that little box is nothing short of amazing."
