- The International Communications Industries Association, Inc. (ICIA) has changed its name to InfoComm International, effective immediately.
- Changing our name to InfoComm International leverages the associations tradeshow InfoComm brand name, which is well known throughout the world.
- The name InfoComm International provides better name recognition for prospective members, consolidates the usage of various brand names within the association, and better reflects the high-tech union between information technology and the audiovisual industry.
- The change in name does not indicate a change in our mission or our strong commitment to serving our associations members. Rather, the intention is to increase the visibility of the association by leveraging the name used by our best-known projectInfoComm, the largest annual conference and exhibition for AV buyers and sellers worldwide.
- Like the old sports jersey that is being retired, the ICIA moniker has served us well. We will honor its memory, while leading the AV industry squarely towards the future.
