Menasha Packaging, Manufacturer of the Year

  • Menasha Packaging has been named the 2008 Manufacturer of the Year in an award competition sponsored by the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The award was given from the category for employers with more than 300 employees.
  • “It is extremely gratifying to be recognized for this community award and we share it with all of our employees,” said Mike Waite, president of Menasha Packaging. “The pride we have in producing high-quality products and the passion for success have never been higher at Menasha. Our employees demonstrate their commitment each and every day as we seek to find new and better ways to deliver our products and services to customers.”
  • Although the award was given in the Fox Cities, where the company is headquartered, the award was based on performance of the entire company.
  • Menasha Packaging was judged against other companies in seven categories, including manufacturing and operational excellence, environmental sustainability solutions for customers, continuous improvement and community support and involvement.
  • The company has made significant investments in its Fox Cities-area operations in the past two years. Menasha added new equipment and technology upgrades to its Neenah corrugator in 2007 and installed a new KBA offset press at its Neenah Printing facility earlier this year. The company is also in the midst of an expansion of its Wide Web pre-print facility that will allow for the addition of a 98-inches central impression press with coating, which will come on-line later this year.
