Telex/RTS Systems Used On "Immersion Presents" Expedition

Author:
Publish date:

Having had success with communications technologies from Telex/RTS on last year's "Return to Titanic" expedition, famed oceanographer Dr. Robert Ballard again relied on systems from Telex/RTS for this summer's "Immersion Presents" project, which featured live broadcasts from his team's explorations of extreme environments at the bottom of the North Atlantic.

Dr. Ballard and his team are based upon the NOAA research vessel Ronald H. Brown, and are working closely with educational institutions and foundations around the U.S. to bring their discoveries into educational environments. The teams coordinating and producing these live interactive broadcast feeds rely upon digital matrices, intercoms, keypanels, telephone interfaces and technical support from Telex/RTS to bring Dr. Ballard and his team to thousands of people at aquariums, museums, science centers and Boys and Girls clubs around the country.
