WASHINGTON, DC—TexelSPL, a division of AVI-SPL, was recently awarded a structured cabling contract for the U.S. Green Building Council headquarters facility in Washington, DC. In order to win this contract, TexelSPL met all the requirements for this Platinum LEED interior space build out of the USGBC’s headquarters facility. TexelSPL is responsible for implementing the voice and data cabling and infrastructure, security hardware and cabling with environmental sensors for about 70,800 square foot of the facility.
Architecture firm Envision Design, consultant GHT and James G. Davis Construction have all been contracted to complete this renovation. Two floors of the building have been stripped down to the concrete floors, ceilings, and steel beam supports in order to begin this transformation.
