Park Receives Prestigious Marketing Honor

OMAHA, NE--The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) presented Leo A Daly vice president and chief marketing officer, Craig Park, FSMPS, Assoc. AIA, with their national Marketing Achievement Award (MAA) during their annual conference, Build Business, held August 23rd in Washington, DC. This prestigious award, the preeminent SMPS individual honor, salutes a professional whose achievements and lasting contributions to the field of professional service marketing for the building industry are exemplary. Park is the 17th honoree to receive the award since its inception in 1982.

The SMPS Marketing Achievement Award honors a recipient whose talent has in a fundamental way advanced the marketing profession; whose accomplishments have been acknowledged by professional peers; and, whose work has stood the test of time. In addition, the award reflects significant career achievement in market research, education, professional leadership, marketing communications, and innovative programs.

The award was presented by the 2006 MAA recipient, Mitchel Levitt, FSMPS, executive vice president with Karlsberger Companies, Columbus, OH, at the Awards Gala before an audience of over 1,000 guests. Levitt cited Park's many contributions, commenting, "Craig Park is a passionate and insightful educator, researcher and mentor, an engaging communicator and successful innovator, and a true leader."

Park has been active in the building industry for over 30 years, and has held leadership positions in design, project management, marketing, business development, strategic planning, and operations. Park has directed firms ranging from 25 people to 1,000+, spanning a single office to 25 branch operations, with annual revenues from $2M to $200M. Prior to joining Leo A Daly in 2006, Park served as CMO for Harley Ellis Devereaux, architects and engineers in Los Angeles. In his 30+ year career, Park also held leadership roles with Shen Milsom Wilke and Harmon International, and served on the Board of Governors of InfoComm and the NSCA Consultants Council.
