Yamaha Commercial Audio Holds Seminars for Consultants, AV Rental Houses

  • BUENA PARK, CA--On two separate occasions in early winter, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. (YCAS) held product seminars for audio consultants, and an AV Summit for rental houses and end users highlighting small to mid-scale audio solutions that deliver high-output quality performance, versatility and value.
  • “The overall theme of our AV Summit was ‘let us show you how to fill your room and not your truck’ by showcasing small to mid-scale NEXO and Yamaha audio solutions that deliver high output, quality performance, versatility and value,” states Albert Cardenas, acoustic systems manager.
  • The well-attended events, took place at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts in Cerritos, California and the headquarters of Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. The sessions, presented by the Yamaha Commercial Audio team, were broken into groups using various rooms at the Cerritos Center venue. In the main performing arts center, sessions were based around NEXO GEO D and GEO S12 line arrays, featuring the launch of the PS R2 series loudspeakers, which included hands-on rigging and hardware displays. Demonstrations highlighted system networking utilizing NEXO’s NXAmps and Yamaha TXn amps.
  • Several breakout sessions included product and system presentations and demonstrations geared toward AV rental and production companies that included: Simple Audio Solutions featuring MG and EMX consoles, STAGEPAS, MSP-Studio monitors, HS and MSR powered loudspeakers. Club and Consoles featured the IM8 analog console and M7CL, LS-9 and 01V96 digital audio consoles, Alpha E and Club Series loudspeakers, and SB-168-ES digital stage boxes. IS with YS³ featured a YS³ Yamaha Sound System Simulator software overview. Installation Series loudspeakers and Yamaha DME were presented in a simple networked audio system.
  • “During the consultants clinic, we obtained great feedback, and in turn, provided a lot of detailed application information on our products,” states Peter Robinson, Speaker product manager. “Our goal was to focus on measurement and listening to coverage patterns so that attendees could witness for themselves the precise measurements we commit to with all of our products.”
  • YCATS continues to focus their efforts on Yamaha and NEXO product training with new events scheduled for the upcoming calendar year. For details, visit the training web site at http://www.yamaha.com/ycats/schedule for details.
