A reconfigurable FLEX immersive visualization system, such as the one at Wichita State University, allows multiple users to work together on projects in the same virtual environment. This approach helps the university reach its goal of transforming manufacturing through innovative applications of technology. Full-body-tracked users wearing ultra-high resolution head-mounted displays are connected in real time to the FLEX system for collaborative work sessions. The systems can also work independently.
