MALAYSIA—Loudspeaker systems from d&b audiotechnik have been installed at Terengganu Stadium. Completed in time to host the 12th Malaysia Games, the 50,000-capacity stadium benefits from an audio system installed by A.F.S. Engineering (Malaysia), with QK Tai serving as project director.
Along with colleague Sandhi Soong and two government representatives, Tai visited a number of d&b-equipped stadiums in Germany during preparatory work for the Terengganu project. Returning to Malaysia, Soong and her team devised a specification revolving around d&b Ci60 and Ci90 installation loudspeakers, sporting a weather-resistant finish. Signal distribution was achieved via what is said to be the longest CAN-Bus network installation in d&b’s history. The stadium also features a field PA comprising six arrays of d&b Qi1 installation loudspeakers, again featuring a weather-resistant finish.
