NEENAH, WI--Menasha Packaging announced today that it has earned certification to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) fiber-sourcing standard.

“We have a strong commitment to sustainability and to providing our customers with packaging solutions that have a positive impact on the environment,” said Michael K. Waite, Menasha Packaging’s President. “Menasha’s SFI sourcing certification is verification that our paper-based raw materials are from known, reliable sources that promote sustainable forest management and take measures to protect our environment. Our customers can now proudly promote the products we manufacture as being SFI-certified and share our passion for responsible environmental choices.”

By achieving SFI certification, Menasha Packaging joins a growing number of companies, landowners and social and environmental organizations that are committed to improving forest practices on a global scale.

“Demand for products from responsibly managed forests is increasing worldwide and with today’s announcement, Menasha Packaging joins a group of companies that are demonstrating their environmental commitment through certification of the SFI program,” said SFI Inc.
