Altinex Announces AVSnap™ Version 6

Publish date:

Brea, CA – September 2017…Altinex, a leading manufacturer of Signal Management Solutions®, is pleased to announce the release of AVSnap Version 6 (, the latest revision to the company’s highly acclaimed AV systems design and control software. Designed to facilitate a complete development environment for any size AV system, the new AVSnap V6 offers numerous enhancements designed to make AV system sales professionals, design engineers, installers, and programmers more productive. This new version provides a wealth of additional features not found in any other software.

Determining all the various components of an AV project up front is one of the most challenging aspects of AV system design. AVSnap’s new Mind Map feature provides a powerful platform for project brainstorming and documentation. The design process is non-linear—enabling participants to gather ideas in a very fluid manner. Mind Map enables one to easily move points around to add additional ideas. The process is quick, visually appealing, and enables system designers and others to gather ideas more creatively.

The new Flow Chart feature automates flow chart creation. Users can select starting points from the included flow chart library and easily connect the various flow chart components. The ability to label, connect one component to another, and move sections around is accomplished quickly and easily. By making this process visually appealing and easy to understand, AVSnap takes flow chart creation to the next level.

AVSnap V6’s Draw Assist ™ feature enables users to quickly align connecting cables on AV system diagrams with just a few mouse clicks. With Draw Assist, users no longer struggle creating right angles or defining vertical versus horizontal lines. All cable lines can be easily repositioned, resulting in a process that facilitates high-speed design with a neat, well-organized appearance.

With AVSnap’s new Control Mode, the software facilitates a full user interface and system control environment—enabling designers to access and operate the various components in their AV system. Additionally, the software’s integrated web server enables users to control their AV system through any browser on the network. The result is a comprehensive system design and control application capable of taking a project from the ground up through daily operation.

Jack Gershfeld, President of Altinex, commented on the latest version of AVSnap. “Designed for intuitive operation, the new AVSnap V6 features technologies that simplify one’s work and streamlines the design process. It is also a tremendous tool for demonstrating a system’s capabilities to prospective customers. With its unique brainstorming process, a friendlier environment for organizing all the various components, an easier means for interconnecting the equipment, and increased performance speed, AVSnap V6 is highly responsive, easy to use, and a pleasure to work with. I’m confident integrators, designers, and sales pros will find much to like.”
