What to Know about the New Amplified Loudspeaker Controllers

Theory Professional has introduced five new amplified loudspeaker controllers. Adding to its DLC Series loudspeaker controller line-up, the 8-channel DLC-1500.8d delivers a massive 6000W in a 2U chassis. The brand-new PLC series, comprised of two 8-channel and two 4-channel models, leverages Powersoft’s patented Class-D amplification topologies, SmartRail energy-management power supplies, Power Factor Correction, and advanced DSP architecture to bring Theory’s premium sound into complex residential, professional, large venue, and live sound applications.

Capable of delivering 1500W into 4 or 8-ohms from any channel pair, or 800W into 2 or 4-ohms all channels driven, DLC-1500.8d packs new levels of power into minimal rack space. Equipped with upgraded high-current output Euroblock connectors that accept up to 10-gauge wire and 4-channels of Dante / AES67 audio-over-IP digital I/O, DLC-1500.8d makes setting up and deploying even complex distributed audio systems painless and bullet-proof. DLC-1500.8d can drive up to 32 Theory 16-ohm loudspeakers in Lo-Z mode, or over 300 direct in Hi-Z mode, with no internal transformer required.

DLC-1500.8d can be configured with the DLC on-board web interface accessible via wired Ethernet, or via its on-board Wi-Fi access point and includes matrix mixing, priority audio routing and ducking, parametric EQ, delay, gain, and limiter DSP objects to make system optimization easy. Full API and modules for AMX, Control4, Crestron, Crestron Home, ELAN, Josh.ai, Q-SYS, RTI, and Symetrix are available.

Combining high-quality amplification with advanced DSP capabilities, plus PoE give PLC users exceptional sound reproduction and precise control. PLC 4 and 8 channel loudspeaker controllers are compact (only 1RU) but extremely power dense. They are reliable, scalable, provide exceptional sound reproduction, and offer advanced DSP capabilities. Integrated audio DSP allows any NetPA Ultra FX amplifier to operate as a complete endpoint with dynamics processing and filters.

The NetPA Ultra FX Series is software configurable to support large systems with multiple speaker types by simultaneously driving 8 ohm, 4 ohm, 70 volt, and 100 volt loads. The series also features Extron InstaWake technology, offering the ability to return to full power from standby in under 50 milliseconds to ensure no part of the audio is ever cut off.

Daktronics has expanded its on‑premises digital signage portfolio with a see‑through LED window displays. With applications spanning retail stores, convenience stores, gas stations, quick‑serve restaurants, and shopping center environments, the solution is intended to replace static window clings and posters with flexible digital content that can be updated quickly to match promotions, dayparts, and seasonal campaigns.

Designed for interior, window‑facing installation, see‑through LED window displays allow businesses to deliver bright, exterior‑facing digital messaging through storefront glass while preserving natural light, visibility and an open in‑store experience. See‑through LED window displays are available in window‑friendly portrait formats designed to fit common storefront applications. Standard sizes include 55‑inch and 70‑inch displays, allowing businesses to select the right scale for their space and messaging needs.

Jabra expanded its Evolve3 range with three new additions designed to deliver consistent call quality across desk-based, open-office, and hybrid or flexible workstyles. The new Evolve3 65 Flex, Evolve3 65, and Evolve3 45 provide professional voice pickup, in-call ANC, and audio optimized for AI-powered collaboration tools to a broader range of users.

Palmer Digital Group (PDG) unveiled a new PDG 22OCBSM Order Confirmation Enclosure. The standalone solution enhances digital signage menu boards by bringing digital order confirmation capabilities to quick-service restaurant (QSR) drive-thru lanes.

Designed and manufactured entirely in-house at PDG's Illinois headquarters, the new enclosure integrates an LG 22XE1J-B high-bright outdoor display with a speaker, microphone, and camera into a compact standalone structure. Unlike traditional speaker posts that rely solely on audio communication, the PDG 22OCBSM adds an integrated visual confirmation display directly at the ordering position, eliminating the need for customers to look elsewhere to verify their orders. The enclosure also creates opportunities for restaurants to promote limited-time offers, seasonal menu items, and other messaging while customers place their orders.

The new enclosure supports LG's 22XE1J-B outdoor display, one of the few high-bright 22-inch commercial displays available for exterior applications. Lewis noted that the display size offers an ideal balance of visibility and enclosure footprint, ensuring order details remain clear and easy to read without creating an oversized structure.

Built for permanent installations and performance-driven spaces, ShowTime STS118E provides the low frequency impact required for music-forward and high-energy applications—while remaining easy to specify, install, and integrate.

Designed to match the scale and voicing of high-output Bose Professional loudspeaker systems such as AMU, AMM, and Forum, ShowTime STS118E provides the controlled low-end required to expand system capability without adding complexity. From venues that need more impact to outdoor spaces that demand reliability, STS118E integrates naturally with Bose Professional platforms, allowing designers to maintain control, consistency, and predictability.

The 18-inch low-frequency driver delivers high-output bass, while the installation-grade enclosure supports both ground-stacked and suspended deployment. A universal pole cup accepts both 35 mm poles and M20-threaded poles for secure top-box mounting when needed.

ShowTime STS118E features IP55 outdoor-rated construction for use in exposed and partially exposed environments. Available in black or white finish options, the enclosure integrates cleanly into a wide range of architectural and performance spaces.

There are plenty of wired and wireless lavalier microphone options on the market, but sometimes properly micing your on-screen talent is not an option. For example, maybe you have to "walk and talk" with that busy executive, or perhaps you happened upon a sidewalk performer and want to capture some footage. Your only option is to point your phone and shoot, but you'd rather not rely on your phone's built-in mic.

Scenarios like these and plenty more create an extensive menu of use cases for Shure's new MV88-USBC stereo microphone, which is clearly targeting the content creator market. The compact mic is about 1 inch long and attached to a hinge that allows 90 degrees of movement. The hinge is connected to a rectangle base with an integrated USB-C connector, so it plugs directly into the port on the bottom of your phone. (The previous MV88+ model requires a cable.) A small green LED on the base serves as the power indicator.

Once I connected the mic, I immediately started shaking the setup like a maraca. However, the USB-C connector created a secure fit, so I have no reports of flying microphones. The MV88 actually fit more tightly on my Galaxy A14 phone than my iPhone. That said, there are no magnets or clips to keep the unit in place, so try not to treat your setup like a percussion rattle. Also, be prepared to adjust your phone mount/tripod/stabilizer/selfie stick to accommodate its position at the bottom of your phone.

The MV88 also includes a custom carry case that bears a striking resemblance to an oversized mesh windscreen. Speaking of windscreens, the MV88’s windscreen is the size of a golf ball, but it protects the mic equally from all sides, which is important because of the various pickup patterns it offers.

A stereo pickup allows you adjust the pattern in 15-degree increments from a tight, shotgun-esque 60 degrees to a wide open 135 degrees. The mono cardioid, mono bidirectional, and raw mid-side settings don’t allow for pickup pattern adjustments, though there are plenty of other ways to make changes through Shure’s MOTIV Audio or MOTIV Video apps.

For example, you can select processing modes for speech, singing, acoustic, band, and flat. There are other adjustments within these modes as well, such as gain (up to 36dB), auto level (I used that instead with no complaints), high pass filter, and more. If you find exactly what you like, you can save a preset or just lock the settings.

I had the opportunity to test the MV88 at InfoComm 2026. There were two “creator pods” outside the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, so I claimed one for myself about 30 minutes before the show floor opened. It was a somewhat noisy area, as other people were already in the area and background music was playing. I stowed my glasses (ring lights really don’t like the bespectacled standing so close) and shot a short SCN promo, which I later posted on LinkedIn.

First, I’m not here to knock the iPhone’s built-in microphone. At close range, it did an acceptable job, though the background noise (particularly the music) was much louder than I’d like. Once past that “control” version, I tried the MV88 in stereo (60 degrees) and cardioid. For me, the cardioid setting delivered the best results, delivering the most natural sound for my voice while minimizing background noise. That said, the high end was noticeably crisp in those close quarters.

I did another test in a quiet upstairs hallway. A colleague held my phone while I walked about 12 feet away and started talking. The audio was clear, sure, but it sounded like I was about 12 feet away. However, at about 6 feet, the audio was significantly better. Did it sound like I was wearing a lav? Of course not—let’s not expect miracles from a 1-inch mic that's priced at $159.

The test that surprised me the most was the mono bi-directional mode. A colleague and I had a conversation about 4 feet away from each other, with the mic between us. The pickup was great, even when she moved around a bit. If you have off-screen commentators (and you’re shooting in 9:16 mode), this mic can capture the conversation clearly.

The MV88-USBC is not going to replace your wireless lavs or your handheld—and it's not designed to. Instead, it's going to be your go-to mic when your phone's built-in mic won't cut it and when other mics aren't convenient. It's well built and compact enough to take up permanent residence in your production bag, but it's so versatile that you may have a hard time putting it away.

[What's the Buzz? How InfoComm Has Changed in Five Years]

MM-Force is a low-frequency transducer platform available in 8-inch and 10-inch formats engineered for compact subwoofer applications where installation depth, weight and vibration control are critical design constraints. Based on Powersoft’s high-motor-strength and moving-magnet technologies, MM-Force combines an ultra-shallow profile of less than 70mm with inertially balanced moving parts to minimize vibration during operation. MM-Force is intended for OEM integration in flush-mount architectural loudspeakers, compact portable systems, automotive audio systems and outdoor loudspeaker applications requiring high environmental protection ratings.

MM-Force incorporates a moving magnet topology that reduces the amount of neodymium required compared to conventional moving coil loudspeakers, while maintaining high motor strength and output capability. The design also enables low resistive losses and improved power efficiency when paired with Powersoft Class-D amplification platforms.

Spixel is a compact 2.5-inch full-range transducer platform developed for applications requiring high SPL performance and extended frequency response in the upper bass range from minimal enclosure volumes. Derived from the same high-motor-strength design principles used in Powersoft’s IPAL technology platform, Spixel extends the company’s transducer development into compact full-range applications.

Designed for OEM loudspeaker manufacturers and custom-integrated systems, Spixel supports applications including point-source loudspeakers, line arrays, portable systems and wave-field synthesis speaker matrices. Spixel is available in both 4-ohm and 100-ohm configurations and delivers frequency response down to 100 Hz from a compact 2.5-inch format. Spixel also integrates onboard identification and monitoring technologies through native AnyMATE and SpeakerMATE support, enabling loudspeaker identification, status monitoring and visual diagnostics without requiring additional external hardware or increased system complexity.

“MM-Force and Spixel were developed to help OEM partners address system design challenges related to size, efficiency and integration while achieving higher performance in increasingly constrained physical spaces,” said Mitch Rauch, U.S. sales director for Powersoft. “Both platforms are designed to simplify deployment and maintain system reliability across a wide range of professional audio applications.”

Working on behalf of Harris County and the NFL's Houston Texans, and alongside technical consultants WJHW, LD Systems installed a new Fulcrum Acoustic bowl audio system at NRG Stadium, or Houston Stadium as it was called for the 2026 World Cup. Up to 72,220 fans per game gathered for soccer’s most awaited tournament, where Houston Stadium hosted seven matches with nine international teams across June and early July.

LD Systems integrated the venue’s original audio requirements stadium-wide in 2002 and has provided its technical maintenance and production support for every major event since. The new system is based on a large-scale deployment of weather-resistant Fulcrum loudspeakers, ensuring reliable operation whether the stadium’s roof is open or closed. All loudspeaker enclosures are now able to withstand potential exposure to environmental challenges in what has become the largest World Cup in history.

The main bowl (situated on the venue’s ‘super truss’), concourses, and support spaces utilize a total of 1,194 Fulcrum loudspeakers comprising AHC443 high-output horn-loaded arrays, CS218LWR dual 18-inch weather-resistant subwoofers, and various other models including CX1226-MT200, CX1226, CX1595, CX826-MT120, FH1566 and FH1595. The overall system weight has been reduced by 40% compared to the previous rig.

The LD Systems team, including project manager Michael Keefe and project engineer Anthony DiDonato, had six months to remove the old system and install the full, site-wide upgrade, yet bowl system tuning was completed in just six hours over a single day.

“We added eight subwoofer arrays (four per side) to enhance low-frequency performance, and the sonic results have exceeded expectation; we’ve actually had to turn them down,” said LD Systems sales engineer, Kevin Broussard. “The system now delivers clearer highs, much better vocal intelligibility, and a powerful low-end that you can physically feel, and feedback on the venue’s new sound capabilities has shifted dramatically.”

System amplification is provided by Powersoft Unica amplifiers serving the main seating bowl and concourse systems, and Crown DCI amplifiers are dedicated to clubs, back-of-house, and ancillary spaces. LD Systems has also installed a new control system and network backbone across the building. The primary mixing platform is a Yamaha Rivage PM5, and wireless audio is supported by Shure Axient wireless microphones.

The audio infrastructure is managed through a Q-SYS platform featuring Core 5200 processors operating in a redundant configuration for mission-critical system reliability, and the Core 610 processors service the suite-level audio systems.

“One of the biggest improvements during this entire upgrade was adding dedicated audio to over 260 suites," Broussard concluded. "Previously, the suites relied on spill from the bowl or delayed TV audio, which could lag by up to four seconds. Now, every suite has its own speaker system, control panel, and multiple selectable sources: bowl audio, TV audio, radio, postgame feeds, and Bluetooth.”

SoundTube Entertainment has released its U.S.-made CM62-BGM-II-US and IPD-CM62-BGM-II-US in-ceiling loudspeakers. These new audio solutions provide consultants and integrators with readily available TAA- and BAA-compliant audio solutions for projects requiring domestic sourcing.

The versatile Miri V410 is user-configurable either as an encoder or as a decoder. It can encode one live 4K Ultra HD output at 60 frames per second or two simultaneous 2K QHD (2560x1440) channels. As a decoder, the device can decode two streams concurrently from most supported source formats. Video input and output connections include HDMI, 3G-SDI and USB interfaces with embedded audio support.

The Miri V410 is designed for easy operation, even by less-experienced streamers and volunteers, while providing deep enough controls and advanced capabilities to meet the needs of expert producers and media engineers. Its intuitive web interface is complemented by a front-panel LCD screen and configurable buttons for easy on-device control and monitoring. A large, customizable tally light ring around the top of the unit and front-panel VU meters further enhance operator convenience, while two-factor authentication bolsters security against malicious attempts to access and disrupt media infrastructure.

For live streaming, the V410 can encode or decode H.264 or H.265 in a wide range of protocols including SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, TS over UDP, and RTSP. For video-over-IP workflows, the V410 can encode NDI HX2 or NDI HX3, and can decode both of those formats as well as NDI High Bandwidth and the emerging OMT (Open Media Transport) open-source technology. In encode mode, the V410 can even transcode from NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, or OMT inputs to streaming formats and protocols. Content can also be recorded to files on a microSD card or external USB drive.

The V410's robust network connectivity includes built-in Wi-Fi 7 to maximize wireless performance even in crowded environments, while dual Gigabit Ethernet connections, one with PoE support, provide multi-LAN connectivity or redundancy. For maximum internet resilience and performance, the V410 can also be paired with Miri's X510 dual-cellular bonding router.

Demand for higher bandwidth and higher resolution content continues to intensify across industries. In response, AJA Video Systems unveiled Io Xpand, a high-performance Thunderbolt 5-enabled PCIe expansion chassis for AJA KONA and Corvid video and audio I/O cards. Io Xpand unlocks the performance of AJA PCIe I/O cards for video professionals leveraging Thunderbolt 5 laptops and mini-PCs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Io Xpand is ideal for creative or live production environments where space is limited and portability matters, including on-set, remote production, and live switching. AJA’s new Io Xpand chassis includes a 0.8m Thunderbolt 5 cable, Thunderbolt cable lock, power cable, and universal power adapter. It will be offered as a standalone unit, or in three bundles that include the Io Xpand and either a single KONA 1, KONA 4, or KONA 5 card. The new portfolio delivers comprehensive throw ratio coverage from 0.35 to 11:1, combining four all-new lenses and six updated models. Two new ultra-short throw options expand creative possibilities: one featuring an L-shaped lens designed for 90-degree projection onto off-axis surfaces, and a straight UST option with a 0.39 throw ratio, ideal for rear projection and tight spaces. A newly added zoom capability in the ultra short throw range provides even greater flexibility, while long throw options support image delivery across expansive venues. Combined, the range allows floors, ceilings and unconventional surfaces to become dynamic display canvases, with consistent brightness and color across multi-projector setups.

Samsung Electronics introduced new education solutions for its Android-based Samsung Interactive Display lineup, making shared classroom displays easier to personalize and manage. The new solutions reflect Samsung’s focus on practical classroom tools for teachers and school IT teams.

[A Combination of Contemplation and 'Wow']

“Digital classrooms depend on the right balance of advanced hardware, intelligent software and intuitive user experiences,” said Hyoung Jae Kim, EVP of the visual display business at Samsung Electronics. “By bringing together AI and seamless connectivity, Samsung’s interactive display solutions are designed to support a more flexible, connected learning environment in which teachers and students can thrive.”

In schools where multiple teachers use the same classroom display throughout the day, access and privacy can become daily challenges. Samsung Account Management Solution (AMS), which comes pre-installed on compatible Android-based Samsung Interactive Display lineup models, allows each teacher to access their own account using a QR code or an NFC-enabled ID card. This streamlined sign-in experience helps schools support shared devices without relying on local profiles tied to a single display.

As schools add more connected displays, IT teams need a simpler way to manage users, devices and classroom permissions. Samsung Education Portal provides a central location for IT managers to register teachers and enroll devices. In terms of user management, NFC binding links NFC cards to teacher accounts so staff can sign in to shared displays with their assigned cards. IT teams can also enable Samsung AMS on selected displays and manage account access when needed, allowing classrooms to stay ready for the next teacher.

Samsung AI Assistant provides AI tools for common classroom tasks directly on compatible Android-based Samsung Interactive Displays. The app supports content discovery, transcription, summaries, and quizzes, helping teachers encourage student focus, participation and comprehension throughout lessons.

Features like Circle to Search, enabling teachers circle on-screen text or images to find related information, visuals, videos, and web links, and Live Transcript convert spoken instruction into real-time text on the screen, both make lessons easier to follow for students with hearing impairments, as well as multilingual learners.

Samsung’s Android-based Interactive Display portfolio gives schools a range of options for classrooms, media rooms and shared learning spaces, with three new models coming soon: WAF-S, WAFX-PS and WAHX-M. These models, along with the existing WAF and WAFX-P series, support Samsung AI Assistant and Samsung AMS. The lineup is also EDLA-certified, providing seamless access to services like Google Classroom and Google Drive, which further enrich the educational experience.

Extron has unveiled a new update to its EMS Express Mobile Software–Quantum Ultra, designed to streamline video wall control with new capabilities including live content preview and full compatibility with the latest Quantum IN4DTP3 and OUT4DTP3 cards. With EMS version 1.8 and Quantum Ultra firmware 6.03, users can now view live and static source content directly within the EMS interface, simplifying the process of designing presets and visualizing current status across complex video wall configurations.

Other recent enhancements include expanded user account support, now accommodating up to 50 login accounts with unique usernames and passwords at three access levels: Admin, Designer, and User. This makes it easier to manage large teams by defining who can configure systems, design layouts, or simply operate the video wall. In addition, Canvas capacity has been doubled from 10 to 20, enabling users to control up to 20 video walls with different resolutions and screen arrangements from a single Quantum Ultra or Quantum Ultra II system. Administrators can assign permissions and manage source access for each Canvas, ensuring secure and efficient operation across multiple video walls.

EMS–Quantum Ultra combines the freedom of wireless control with an easy-to-use tablet application operated with familiar finger gestures. These include drag and drop, pinch, zoom, swipe, and tap. It facilitates preset selection, window size and position, and other common tasks and can work in tandem with Extron Videowall Configuration Software (VCS) and a control system.

Hear and be heard. When you get right down to it, those two things are what a professional headset are supposed to do for you. The new EPOS took that mantra to heart with its new IMPACT 1000 Bluetooth headset. With adaptive ANC, it's designed to help you hear what's coming through the ear cups, and integrated EPOS AI noise cancellation is designed to help you be heard by coworkers as well as AI assistant programs. So, how does it perform?

[Studies Show Workers Conflicted on Hybrid]

At 6 ounces, this is not the lightest headset (the EPOS IMPACT 500, for example, weighs in at 5 ounces), but it doesn’t feel heavy. It’s also not a “small” headset, though it certainly smaller than a pair of studio cans. That said, I particularly appreciated the build quality—very solid.

Controls and Charging

Red lights on both cups indicate when the headset is in use (yes, you can turn them off). The IMPACT 1000 sports familiar EPOS controls, with power and Bluetooth pairing switch above the volume toggle, which doubles as a pause button when listening to music. The USB-C charging port is next to the volume control. The other cup only has the ANC on/off button.

The boom mic rotates about 270 degrees, so you can use it on either ear. A dedicated button on the boom mic picks up, disconnects, or rejects calls. Double tap that button to put a call on hold. To mute, press the volume toggle or tilt the boom mic.

Taking the headsets with you? EPOS provides a soft carrying case that includes a mesh pocket for storing a USB-C charging cable and the USB dongle (complete with USB-A adapter) that pairs your headset to your laptop.

The box was surprisingly weighty for a lightweight headset. That’s because it shipped with a sturdy charging stand that comes with its own storage bag.

The base of the charging stand is a roughly 4x5-inch rounded trapezoid, and you need about 9 1/2 inches of height clearance, plus additional room on the sides to hang the headphones. The IMPACT 1000 headband has a notch in the center of its padding (no, it doesn’t impact comfort) to accommodate the charging stand.

Other headsets offer flat charging bases that require you to fold your headphones and sort of balance them on the base. I generally abandon those charging options pretty quickly and just plug the headset into the USB-C cable I keep at my desk.

Granted, the IMPACT 1000 charging stand takes up a chunk of workspace real estate, but it’s a dedicated home that keeps the headset very accessible and always charged. I could see myself using this base for the life of the headset. However, if you forget to hang up your headset, the IMPACT 1000 has a fast charging feature that’ll get you about 90 minutes of listening time on a 10-minute charge.

For a little more control over your IMPACT 1000, download the EPOS Connect app for your laptop. From the app, you can adjust the ANC level, sidetone (how loud you hear yourself), check battery status, get firmware updates (EPOS told me native Bluetooth is coming soon), and more. I'm hoping this headset will be added to the mobile app soon.

Real-World Tests

To review its ANC capabilities, I took the IMPACT 1000 on the ultimate test drive: air travel. Whether I was listening to music or watching a movie, it did a good job keeping out much of the engine noise as I journeyed to InfoComm 2026. I won't say it's the best ANC I've tried, but it should be more than adequate for office work and the occasional trip.

EPOS is really pushing the IMPACT 1000 as a headset for folks who rely on AI transcriptions and the like, so I opened a lonely Google Meet with myself and started talking. I began by reading a short passage from Better Off Dead, a Jack Reacher novel by Lee Child and Andrew Child. Perfect.

However, the Google Gemini transcript started taking hits with Shakespeare. "Dromio" became "Romeo," "within" became "whenin," and "traders" became "traitors." Hate to be the bearer of bad news, people, but AI transcription still needs some help. The Comedy of Errors, indeed. That said, I'm not blaming the headset, as Google Gemini was obviously hearing what I was saying, and it even captured my random mumblings before and after reading the test content.

Now, let’s talk talking. The IMPACT 1000 has EPOS AI noise cancellation, so I went outside to have a conversation. There was a breeze, not necessarily a strong wind. I was told by someone who has been on the receiving end of more of my headset tests than should be allowed by law that this was the best sounding headset I’ve ever used. Can’t really offer better feedback than that.

Pricing for the IMPACT 1000 starts at $249; the model I tested—double-sided with ANC, dongle, and charging stand—lists for $449. You can save a little if you skip the dongle. The charging stand only added $30 to the price, so if you expect this headset to take up at least semi-permanent residence on your desk, it’s probably worth the extra bucks. Note, the lower-cost, single-sided model doesn’t offer ANC and isn’t compatible with the charging stand.

Yes, this is pricey headset. You’re paying for the premium EPOS experience that’s certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. If you don’t rely on your headset for everyday communication, there are less expensive options out there from EPOS (and other manufacturers). But if your workday starts and ends with you on a headset, that extra investment might pay for itself in short order.

The latest firmware update for the MPR60 Wideband IEM/IFB Receiver introduces a powerful three‑channel IFB mode, which enables up to three IFB audio channels to be transmitted over a single 200 kHz RF carrier. When paired with the Wisycom MTK982 transmitter, users can achieve up to 60 IFB audio channels within an 8 MHz TV channel or 45 channels within a 6 MHz TV channel.

Wisycom’s new MATF Wideband Antenna Matrix, designed for complex, multi‑zone wireless infrastructures and RF over Fiber deployments, supports both coaxial and fiber inputs. It also consolidates multiple rack‑based components into a single, highly flexible unit capable of combining up to eight RF zones in diversity. There are four coaxial outputs that act as either four equal buffered outputs in 8:1 or two equal buffered outputs in the 4:2 setup, which allows more receivers to be connected without the need for additional splitters.

Wisycom has also introduced its new PFL Portable RFoF Box, a rugged, quick‑deploy solution designed for high‑demand broadcast, OB, location sound and live production environments. The unit delivers true diversity over fiber with a dual converter architecture, Ethernet connectivity for remote control or Dante workflows, and a Neutrik opticalCON DUO interface, all operable via both mains and a V‑lock battery power source, commonly found in effects camera equipment.

LynTec debuted the SLi Series Lithium-Ion Standby UPS and the SXP Series Online UPS. These new lines address the industry's increasing need for specialized power infrastructure designed for high-density racks and sensitive digital electronics.

Lastly, the LG MAGNIT Gen 2 AIO Micro LED display is a 136-inch 4K UHD resolution (3840x2160) designed to simplify deployment and operation compared to conventional LED video wall systems. The display combines a built-in controller, integrated speakers and webOS 8.0 in a turnkey design that reduces the need for external controller wiring and minimizes LED module configuration requirements. Extron has released its DTP3 T 322 D, a two-input wallplate transmitter that sends USB-C and HDMI video, USB data, embedded audio, power, and control up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable. It can provide up to 100 watts of USB-C power delivery to charge the connected device when used with the Extron UPI 100 Power Inserter.

Audinate, the creator of Dante AVoIP, has unveiled three new additions to its Dante AVIO Install adapter series: Dante AVIO Install 4-Ch Analog Input, 4-Ch Analog Output, and 2-Ch In/2-Ch Out Analog adapters, all featuring dual switched Ethernet ports that allow up to four units to share a single network drop via daisy chaining.

[InfoComm 2026 Product Watch: Broadcast AV Takes Center Stage]

Designed for AV integration, Dante AVIO Install adapters provide a compact, cost-effective way to convert analog audio to Dante for both new and existing installations. Euroblock terminals support the fixed wiring that permanent installations demand, while an included bracket and Dante AVIO ClickGrid system give integrators the flexibility to mount adapters wherever they are needed under shelves, on rack rails, or secured to posts.

"By combining higher channel density and daisy chain functionality, the latest Dante AVIO Install adapters give integrators an economical path to converting analog endpoints to Dante at scale," said said Jonathan Bailey, lead product manager at Audinate. "They reduce the number of adapters, switch ports, and long cable runs required across an installation, and fit directly into the Dante workflows and tools integrators already know."

The new models allow for higher channel density when connecting to amplifiers, line mixers, DSPs, and other analog installed AV equipment, reducing the number of adapters needed to convert multiple channels to Dante or handle bidirectional audio at a single endpoint. They are suited to applications ranging from single conference rooms and classrooms to audio distribution across buildings, campuses, and zones with centralized device management.

By sharing a single network drop across up to four adapters, the new daisy chaining functionality significantly reduces the number of switch ports and cable runs required across an installation. This lowers overall network infrastructure costs and makes it easier and more cost-effective to deploy multiple adapters as systems grow.

As part of the Dante platform, all Dante AVIO Install adapters work with familiar Dante tools. Audio routing and configuration are handled in Dante Controller, while Dante Director and Dante Domain Manager add advanced capabilities including remote monitoring, logging and alerts, user access control, and more.

We've reviewed several wireless mic systems at SCN, so what makes the new Insta360 Mic Pro offering unique? In a word, e-ink. Each of the system's transmitters/mics is equipped with an e-ink display, something I haven’t really seen since Saramonic’s Blink Me system a few years ago.

Basically, the Mic Pro e-ink display affords you the opportunity to build branding into every shot without a handheld and mic flag. Both the host and guest can be adorned with your logo—or, if you have prep time, your guest can sport their own company’s logo. The e-ink technology only draws power when you change the image, so battery drain isn't an issue.

Several custom wallpapers are available through the Insta360 app, from emojis and color bars to numbers and letters. Yes, it might take a minute to load the new wallpaper, but that’s to be expected with e-ink.

Of course, I had to create a custom wallpaper. I uploaded the SCN logo from my photo library and it looked great. It could be read from across a room and was easily visible on video.

I also uploaded a selfie and it looked, well, not so great. Unless you’re trying for some sort of meta joke, you likely wouldn’t have a photo of yourself (or anyone else) on your lapel during an interview, anyway. Remember, this is a small display with only a 1.22-inch diameter—and it’s e-ink, not OLED. Stick with simple graphics built around primary colors and you’ll likely be very satisfied.

Bits and Pieces

The Mic Pro is more than just a pretty face. Once you get past the eye candy, there's a lot of serious audio going on here. The system is available with four transmitters and one receiver, two transmitters and one receiver (which I tested), and one transmitter and one receiver, with separate transmitters also available.

About the size of a very portly cell phone, with a USB-C port on the outside for easy charging and four white LEDs that indicate charging status, the charging case has a dedicated place for everything. The mics/transmitters nest on either side of the receiver. There are dedicated slots for mobile phone adapters, but the receiver’s charging spot accommodates an adapter, so there’s really no need to detach it. That means one less essential accessory that won't be easily lost.

Speaking of charging, the Mic Pro has a five-minute fast charge feature, good enough for about 90 minutes of use. According to Insta360, the receiver can operate for up to 11 hours, the transmitters up to 10 hours each, and a fully charged charging case can charge all three components roughly twice before you need to juice it up. I didn't experience any battery issues, but I tended to store the components in the charging case between tests.

The case also has areas for the button magnets and clips, though the mic slots have room for either accessory if you leave them attached. Insta360 includes a storage pouch with the Mic Pro that includes a main compartment for the charging case, as well as mesh pockets for the included dead cat windscreens, 3.5mm cable for DSLR/mirrorless camera connectivity, and USB-C cable for charging.

The mic clips are plastic and metal, and they snap in place via a metal bracket on the plastic back of the mic. I would recommend snapping these clips in place and leaving them there, swapping to button magnets only if necessary. That said, while not heavy, a Pro Mic transmitter is heavier than a lavalier. Fabric sag could ruin your on-camera branding, so be careful with placement. The custom dead cats snap snugly into place—but again, the bracket is (say it with me) plastic.

Fashion tip: The Mic Pro looks great on a blazer. That said, if there’s no blazer pocket available, you might have to clip that mic between the buttons or buttonholes on a shirt. If you do that, you’re going to have to turn the mic to clip it—and that means your e-ink display is going to be sideways!

Yes, you could create alternate versions of your logo to compensate or remove the clip and switch to the magnet, but both of those solutions take time. A clip that can be rotated 90 degrees on the back of the transmitter would go a long way toward solving the problem.

Audio Performance

You can't fault Insta360 for options, as the Mic Pro is loaded with them. Each mic has four different pickup patterns, which you can set through the receiver: omnidirectional, super-directional, cardioid, and figure eight (for conversations).

To test the cardioid options, a likely choice for stand-ups, I decided to step out during a South Florida evening thunderstorm. I stood just outside my garage, so you couldn't avoid the sound of thunder, rain, and water flowing through the gutters. I turned the low cut on but kept the gain off. You can set gain manually or choose between auto and dynamic gain. You can also choose between three voice tone presets; I went with standard during my tests, but you can experiment with full and bright.

One catch with the super-directional setting is that noise cancellation is unavailable. As a result, though I sounded louder (it is designed to improve voice isolation from a specific direction, after all), there was no escaping the weather sounds around me. Best to leave that setting to quieter weather events. The "regular" cardioid setting sounded great, very natural with minimal weather noise.

But I made a total amateur mistake during my test shoot: I had my front-facing camera mirrored on the Blackmagic Camera app. As a result, the SCN logo displayed so beautifully on the Pro Mic was backward. Yes, I could flip the footage in post, but I'd rather get it right from the start. Let my gaffe serve as a reminder to check your shot, especially if you add e-ink graphics to your transmitters.

For my next test, I stood next to a favorite microphone test cohost: my air conditioner. As you'd expect, the omnidirectional pickup pattern was the worst choice, as that condenser unit came through loud and clear. As with the thunderstorm, the super-directional picked up more noise than I wanted, but the cardioid setting did a fine job minimizing the fan noise. No tinny audio pickup here.

Yes, I have a few nitpicks, but there's not a whole lot wrong with the Mic Pro. If anything, it almost feels like Insta360 developed this wireless mic system to be all things audio to all content creators, everything from a single mic to capture conversations to a shotgun replacement for your DSLR. And yes, with three mics in each transmitter and your choice of pickup patterns, the Mic Pro can do both of those things. You also have the option of 32-bit float recording to avoid clipping as well as onboard recording for peace of mind in the field.

But let's be honest: If you're considering the Mic Pro, the e-ink display is the differentiator at Insta360's $330 prosumer price point. If you're looking to bring subtle (or not-so-subtle) branding to your content, this is a great way to do it. More importantly, you're not sacrificing audio quality for the sake of an on-screen logo.

[InfoComm 2026 Impulses: Adamson Gets Immersive and Showcases Array Intelligence]

A newly developed powerful 18-inch driver with a dual wound voice coil provides enhanced low end, while the ND13-S used in VGt now provides low-end support and directionality as a side firing driver in VGx.

“Two years of successful Vergence Group deployments have resulted in accelerated interest and desire for new, larger products in Vergence Group," said Jeremiah Karni, technical brand manager. VGx exhibits 22dB of rear rejection across it’s entire bandwidth. If cardioid isn’t what you’re looking for, then omni presets are also available.

A new Class-D amplifier module powers VGx, with two full bridge channels devoted to the low frequency section, and four half-bridge channels powering the remaining devices, ensuring lots of headroom across the board.

To bolster VGx, Adamson is also releasing two new subwoofers. The Adamson VGd is a large-format subwoofer enclosure and the largest subwoofer enclosure in Vergence Group. Designed to keep up with the high output capabilities of the full-range products, VGd exhibits very high output for its size. With two SD21.5 transducers front-loaded, as well as two SD18 transducers rear-loaded, VGd is a dedicated cardioid subwoofer.

To complement VGd, VGo utilizes the same technology and transducers but in a single driver format. Both subs utilize on-board Class-D amplification, both subs have built-in rigging, and both subs can faithfully reproduce audio to 27 Hz.

At InfoComm 2026, Sony Electronics will introduce the “SRG-AS10,” a 4K 60p-compatible PTZ Auto Framing camera that uses Sony’s proprietary AI to automatically recognize and track subjects and capture them with natural composition, along with the “SRG-XS10,” a basic 4K PTZ camera.

Both models are equipped with a 1/2.8-type 4K image sensor featuring STARVIS, Sony’s proprietary image sensor technology, which enables clear video capture even in low-light environments. In addition, they are enhanced with smooth, natural pan-and-tilt operation, delivering fluid camera movement from start to stop without abrupt acceleration or deceleration.

The SRG-AS10 and SRG-XS10 support up to 10x optical zoom in 4K. In addition, using Tele Convert Mode, they support up to 20x zoom in Full HD, providing flexible framing for a wide variety of capture and streaming scenarios.

These cameras are suitable for a wide range of shooting distances in concert halls, theaters, gymnasiums, and similar venues—from close-up shots to the back of the hall. Their compact, lightweight design blends seamlessly into various environments such as classrooms, meeting rooms, or even narrow spaces like backstage wings or sports venues, where it may be difficult to position a camera operator. This allows for installation in diverse settings and enables the capture of high-resolution video that clearly expresses subjects’ facial expressions.

The two new models, SRG-AS10 and SRG-XS10, are expected to be available near the end of 2026.

They will be on display June 17-19, 2026, at InfoComm in Las Vegas at booth C8301.

Key Features of the SRG-AS10　

PTZ Auto Framing for smooth, natural automated capture: Powered by Sony’s proprietary AI analytics algorithms, the PTZ Auto Framing function automatically tracks subjects and continuously adjusts framing to maintain natural composition. It supports diverse capture and streaming needs, including online classes and remote lectures in education, corporate content creation and internal/external streaming, and sports capture, including a dedicated Basketball game tracking mode. This enables automated capture without reliance on operators or advanced skills.

Ball Sports (Basketball) Mode: Ball Sports (Basketball) Mode supports automated capture of indoor full-court basketball games from a wide shot. By recognizing the court area and tracking not only players but also the fast and irregular movement of the ball, the camera captures the flow of play with accurate framing.

Multi-person Framing: The camera automatically adjusts framing so that a specified number of people—up to eight—fit within the frame at the same time, maintaining a natural composition. It supports stable capture in multi-person scenes such as corporate conferences, panel discussions, weddings, sports games, worship services, and various ceremonies.

Clear video even in low light with a 1/2.8-type 4K image sensor with STARVIS: Equipped with a 1/2.8-type 4K image sensor with STARVIS technology, the camera delivers clear, low-noise images even in low-light environments. Smooth motion reproduction at 4K 60p accurately captures natural human movement as well as fast-paced and detailed sports action.

Flexible installation and capture methods for a wide range of applications: With a compact, lightweight design that blends into any space, the cameras support both tripod and ceiling-mounted installation, making them easy to deploy in a wide range of environments such as lecture rooms, conference rooms, studios, halls, and sports venues.

In addition to SDI and HDMI outputs, the cameras come with NDI HX2 pre-installed and support IP streaming protocols such as RTSP, RTMP, and SRT—enabling remote production over IP networks. They also support PoE++, allowing power, video, and control to be delivered through a single LAN cable for simplified, scalable system integration. Furthermore, the web-based user interface (Web UI) enables intuitive operation from a tablet or PC via a web browser.

With a compact, lightweight design that blends into any space, it can be installed in various environments such as classrooms and meeting rooms, making it suitable for everyday streaming and recording tasks including lecture capture, internal corporate streaming, and online meetings.

Introducing the new Extron DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB. This compact 4x2 matrix switcher supports 10 Gbps data at the local USB-C host port and four-port hub, plus host switching and USB 2 data extension. It features USB-C and HDMI inputs, HDMI outputs, plus a DTP3 output for extending video, audio, data, and control signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable. Additional advanced capabilities include 100-watt USB-C charging, audio de-embedding, seamless transition effects, and logo keying. Loaded with these features and more, the DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB is built for collaboration, delivering fast and reliable AV switching in professional environments.

The DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB provides extensive USB data capabilities to support UC collaboration environments. Up to three 10Gbps USB hosts may be switched to share devices and connect to the local 4-port USB hub, which features two USB 10Gbps and two USB 2 High-Speed connections. The switcher can also access remote USB devices connected to a DTP3 R 331 receiver. This enables cameras, microphones, mice, and keyboards installed in the room to be available to any connected USB host.

Extron also released its new XTP II 8K Fiber Series. Four new products are now available:

• XTP II FT 402 8K: Fiber optic transmitters for HDMI and DisplayPort
• XTP II FR 401 8K: Fiber optic receivers with local HDMI input
• XTP II CP 4i F 8K: Input boards with assignable XTP Fiber or HDMI inputs
• XTP II CP 4o SF 8K: Output boards with scaled fiber and local, unscaled HDMI outputs

These new boards leverage the 50 Gbps backplane of XTP II CrossPoint Series matrix switchers. The Extron XTP II 8K Fiber Series extends video, audio, bidirectional control, and 1 Gbps Ethernet over fiber optic cable. Each product is HDCP 2.3 compliant and supports HDMI 2.1 specification features that include data rates up to 40.1 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, and HD lossless audio formats. The XTP endpoints utilize two Extron technologies: EDID Minder and Key Minder. EDID Minder automatically manages EDID communication between sources and display devices. Praevar has expanded its Vanguard outdoor display platform with new deployment configurations and turnkey implementation capabilities designed for North American outdoor environments.
