Glensound is set to showcase its audio and intercom solutions supporting broadcast, live events and Pro AV environments at booth 7H800. ISE marks the start of a year of celebrations for Glensound’s 60 years of audio, and the first feature is GTM Diamond: a special edition of the esports gamer interface, blinged up with more than 2000 Swarovski crystals,

A key demonstration at ISE 2026 is the Parliamentary Broadcast System (PBS). This comprehensive Dante-based platform takes a completely fresh look at the audio requirements of parliaments and legislatures, covering main debating chambers and committee rooms, with fixed or ad hoc delegate seating. Reflecting the practical requirements of legislatures, it offers independent clean feeds for broadcast, sound reinforcement and compliance logging. PBS also provides other key capabilities like voting and delegate management.

Also on display will be the DARK family of simple, rugged, reliable appliances for interfacing audio into fiber or copper Dante networks. Designed as throwdown interfaces wherever I/O is required, the range continues to expand to provide precisely the connectivity required. Typical of the continuing innovation is the DARK22M, a two-in, two-out device adding return or confidence feeds to commentary or interview positions. Powered over ethernet, the DARK22M has gain control on each channel: on the box, over the network using the GlenController app, or by any suitable device controller running UDP.

KV2 Audio Debuts Demo Room at ISE 2026

This year, ISE attendees will have the chance to experience an immersive journey that reveals the secrets behind its point-source innovations in KV2's demo room E6. The new concept will be presented in collaboration with Hologramica, a creative company blending innovation with holographic technology. With its patented 3D Holonet technology powered by Panasonic, Hologramica will help transform KV2’s demo room from a conventional listening session to an immersive showcase that reimagines how audiences engage at trade shows.

Visitors will embark on a journey that will highlight the diverse applications of KV2’s solutions, from hospitality and retail spaces to houses of worship, live-event venues, and nightclubs. Wisycom will debut its new MPR60 Wideband IEM Receiver at booth 7P800. Designed for enhanced professional in-ear monitoring, it combines RF performance, high-quality audio, and innovative user protection features for reliability and flexibility in demanding production environments.

Developed to meet the evolving needs of live production, high-end theater, and large-scale house-of-worship applications, the MPR60, with RF wideband frequency agility spanning 470-800 MHz, 940-960 MHz STL in the U.S. and 1240-1260 MHz in the same device, enables users to operate confidently across virtually any RF spectrum, anywhere in the world.

AtlasIED to Showcase New Mixer-Amplifier Series

AtlasIED will showcase its all-new mixer amplifier series, the DMA and LMA series, at booth 2R170. The DMA digital mixer-amp and the LMA mono amplifier are AtlasIED’s latest additions to its product lineup. They are ideally suited for smaller venues, such as cafes and shops, that want to incorporate BGM or live music.

The DMA digital-mixer amplifier is available in 100W, 200W, and 400W models, combining onboard DSP with app-based configuration through the DMA Control iOS/Android app. Quickly apply speaker tunings, manage routing, and fine-tune system performance directly on a mobile device. Front-panel controls provide end-users with essential access to volume and source selection. The LMA amplifier series mirrors the DMA’s power ratings and load flexibility (4/8Ω, 70V, and 100V) but provides a streamlined, DSP-free solution for projects requiring simple, reliable amplification. Used independently, LMA serves as a cost-effective single-zone amplifier compatible with the DMA-V volume controller. Additionally, AtlasIED is adding to the Atlas+Fyne premium loudspeaker series. The new Atlas+Fyne FC-D (Ceiling), and FS-D (Surface) Dante-enabled PoE++ loudspeakers will be on display. Amadeus to Launch Next Generation

Amadeus Acoustics is launching Amadeus Immersive Sound Next Generation at booth 7H840. At the heart of this innovation is the Immersive Performance module, ART::IP, which represents a shift in the immersive audio ecosystem. Developed in response to increasingly complex venue architectures and rising creative expectations, ART::IP moves immersive sound beyond single-zone concepts into a truly scalable, multi-zone, three-dimensional spatial platform.

While previous immersive solutions delivered compelling spatialization in standard room layouts, ART::IP is engineered for real-world complexity: multiple audience zones, varied loudspeaker functions, optimized algorithms for acoustically challenging areas such as under balconies, and hybrid stage–surround systems. Shaped by real-world user feedback from leading immersive installations, it introduces a fundamentally new immersive engine that differentiates between performer-focused stage systems and fully spatial loudspeaker systems - even within the same loudspeaker. The operator controls this behavior at the source level via a simple switch, enabling either powerful stage-anchored reproduction or seamless transitions into the spatial field with precise localization.

Solid State Logic to Debut the New UMD192 Interface

Solid State Logic will showcase its latest advancements in touring, installed sound, broadcast audio, and content production workflow at booth 4N600. A must-see is ​the new UMD192. This portable USB audio interface is designed to meet the demands of professional live sound, broadcast, and high-spec studio environments. With seamless integration across MADI, Dante, and USB protocols, the UMD192 delivers flexible routing possibilities, high channel counts, and uncompromising performance for recording, playback, and format bridging. Offering unprecedented power in a compact and portable form factor, the UMD192 delivers 192 channels at both 96 and 48 kHz, or 128 channels at 192 kHz.

ENCO to Present Multilingual Translation Technology for Mobile Devices

Translation solutions don't work without crystal-clear audio ENCO will take its enTranslate Mobile to the global AV stage at booth EA780. Making its international debut, enTranslate Mobile solves the problem of how to caption/subtitle and translate presentations, panel discussions and more in the primary languages of people in the room.

enTranslate Mobile empowers BYOD accessibility and multilingual inclusivity within public spaces across all AV verticals, making in-venue and corporate broadcast content accessible to all audience members on their personal devices. Since translated captions appear directly on each user’s smartphone or tablet, venues can reduce or eliminate reliance on large video screens that would typically present translated captions.

Also making its international debut is ENCO's Raptor, a cloud-based encoder with quick-deploy capabilities built for live AV and broadcast events. ISE 2026 marks Raptor’s AV industry debut.

Raptor’s pure software infrastructure offers a simple, straightforward and immediate way to embed captions and subtitles into a live program stream that originates from any location. Hosted by longtime ENCO partner StreamGuys, Raptor introduces a secure and reliable live streaming captioning service to event producers seeking to bring government, education, broadcast, and live sports, corporate and worship events and more to television or streaming platforms.

Powersoft to Launch AnyMATE and SpeakerMATE

Powersoft is set to unveil AnyMATE and its first implementation, SpeakerMATE, at booth 7F300. AnyMATE is a communication technology based on a proprietary protocol and a patent-pending physical-layer implementation. Rather than relying on Ethernet or wireless connections, AnyMATE exchanges data directly via an amplifier’s output channels. This makes it possible to identify and monitor downstream devices without deploying a separate control network, aligning closely with the realities of installed audio environments that often feature long cable runs, Hi-Z architectures and legacy infrastructure.

SpeakerMATE represents the first practical application of the AnyMATE platform. The compact hardware module establishes communication between amplifiers and passive loudspeakers and can be deployed either as an external add-on near the speaker or integrated directly by loudspeaker manufacturers. For retrofit applications, SpeakerMATE connects in parallel with the speaker line via quick-splice connectors and requires no dedicated power supply, simplifying installation and minimizing downtime.

Once installed, SpeakerMATE devices are automatically discovered and configured through Powersoft’s Armonía+ software. Additional data can be written to the device in advance, including speaker brand and model information, enabling the system to suggest appropriate presets and helping to reduce configuration errors during commissioning.

Well, March opened without a major Pro AV acquisition, a rarity thus far in 2025. There were still six more personnel moves and a bevy of partnerships which highlighted the week that was.

Darrin Young, known in the pro audio industry as B-SIDE, has joined the dBTechnologies USA as the new director of sales for North America. Young brings a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective to his new role, with a proven track record in sales, marketing, training, and driving strategic market growth.

His professional career in the pro audio industry began in 1999 with Stanton Magnetics, where he played a key role in the company’s growth into the Stanton Group—a portfolio that includes brands like Cerwin-Vega, KRK Systems, and Stanton DJ. He has worked with Gibson's Pro Audio Division and rose through the ranks at DAS Audio of America, to VP of sales and marketing. Lectrosonics has hired Jonathan von Rentzell as Central U.S. regional sales and technical manager. Von Rentzell plays a vital role in Lectrosonics’ business across 19 states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Indianna, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan.

His position at Lectrosonics draws on two equally important qualities: His astute eye for sales and business opportunities and his understanding of the theory, technology, and operation of wireless audio. Hence, his activities include presenting Lectrosonics products to rep firms, dealers, and systems integrators, as well as existing and potential customers.

Von Rentzell comes to Lectrosonics from an extensive background in the pro audio and musical instrument industry. Beginning with a fine arts education, he helped record such notable artists as singer Jennifer Hudson at staple Chicago studios like Pressure Point and Urban Recording. A stint as sales and training manager at a Guitar Center store led to brand opportunities, including managerial sales positions with microphone manufacturers BLUE and Aston. tvONE Expands Sales Team with Key Appointments in the U.S. and Europe

tvONE appointed Michael Huth as Southeast regional sales manager in the United States and Oli Fritz as regional sales manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).

Huth’s appointment comes after Jonathan Begleiter, former Southeast regional sales manager, was promoted to the director of sales (NCSA) position earlier this year. He brings extensive experience from the projector, display, and dvLED industry, having worked with manufacturers such as Panasonic, Vanguard LED, Salitek, and MAXHUB. His background also includes hands-on expertise as a technical video specialist with the Walt Disney World Company and in the rental and staging Industry.

Atlona’s Steve Bogart Names Co-Chair of ETC’s IDEA Committee

Atlona's EDU business development manager Steve Bogart has been appointed to the IDEA Committee, an initiative from the Educational Technology Collaborative (ETC) established to integrate inclusivity, diversity, equity and access into ETC programs, communications and activities.

Bogart will co-chair the committee with Sarah Hava Valley, the assistant director of online learning at Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business, for a two-year term effective immediately. Over that period, Bogart and Hava Valley will identify and execute the most pertinent tasks and projects required to promote and strengthen the organization’s mission. The two were recently selected to co-chair the IDEA Committee through a vote by the ETC Board following the completion of the previous committee’s two-year term.

In addition to its core mission outlined above, the IDEA Committee serves as an advisory to the ETC Board, committees and task forces as new values, practices and principles are considered. Their advisory efforts are aided through data collection and annual member surveys that help to identify challenges and confirm best steps forward.

Bogart, who joined Atlona in February 2023, brings years of AV in education expertise to the committee, especially as it relates to applying technologies for maximum effect within learning environments. Bogart’s vast experience on the manufacturing side of the business complements Hava Valley’s leadership and perspectives on the instructional and learning side, and his goals for the committee emphasize the desire to make AV and IT products more easily accessible to a broader user base.

Listen Technologies Promotes Kevin Jewkes to Chief of Staff

Listen Technologies has promoted Kevin Jewkes to chief of staff. In this new role, Jewkes serves as a trusted advisor to and proxy for Listen Technologies President and CEO Maile Keone.

As chief of staff, Jewkes will also oversee major projects, contribute to the development and execution of long-term strategic plans, and identify opportunities for growth. He will continue to support relationships with stakeholders, including board members, investors, and partners.

Jewkes joined Listen Technologies in 2013 and has held leadership positions in sales strategy and sales operations during his tenure with the company. Most recently, he was senior director of revenue operations, where he oversaw daily sales operations, streamlined processes, and enhanced efficiency to support the organization’s growth objectives. Glensound to Exhibit New AoIP Interface Products

Glensound is exhibiting for the first time at Booth C5120. The AoIP22M, a small format portable unit similar to the very popular AoIP22, will make its debut. It has two analog inputs and outputs to interface to a Dante/AES67 network. The main difference with the AoIP22M is that the inputs are switchable from line to microphone. The DC power input is using USB-C to allow connection to generic plug-top power supplies or USB power banks. Main features include mic/line switchable inputs on XLR or Phoenix connectors, independent 48v phantom power, variable input gain controls, and network connections via a single EtherCON Halo connector. Power options are PoE (Power over Ethernet) in addition to USB-C.   

The second debut is the DARK DAWN 1616M. This is the first of a new generation of industry standard, DARK Dante/AES67 interfaces. This update incorporates several key features that have been requested by users. The DARK DAWN range of interfaces are multichannel analog and AES input/output devices intended to be installed in a studio setting where cosmetic appearance is important. The inputs are mic/line/ 48v switchable and power redundancy is featured with GPO fault reporting. Channel gain can be adjusted from the front panel or remotely via GlenController or UDP control on a separate network connection. Network connections can be either Dante or RAVENNA/AES67.  

Cobalt to Present Broadcast-Quality, Integrator-Friendly Technology 

Cobalt Digital is strengthening its position in the Pro AV market by exhibiting at InfoComm 2024 for the first time at Booth C8483. Cobalt, no stranger to AV, now aims to maximize its presence in the industry by increasing its visibility with a lineup at InfoComm that brings broadcast-quality, cost-effective, integrator friendly and versatile technology to the Pro AV community. 

Visitors to the Cobalt booth will see:

• SAPPHIRE SERIES: Series accommodates a vast variety of applications with form factors ranging from the BBG series of palm-sized mini converters to rack-mounted openGear cards. The SAPPHIRE BBG mini converters are mounted directly behind the monitor, offer high-quality design, function, and reliability in a small package that frees up rack space. The units display received Baseband or JPEG-XS content on HDMI monitors in a simple and cost-effective way, including content from WAN connections.  
• WAVE Family of Multi-Format Routers and Control Panels: COBALT WAVE RTR-64x64 and WAVE RTR-32x32 12G-SDI midsize routers offer unprecedented flexibility and are easily integrated into any variety of applications with support for signals up to 12G-SDI. The high density, crosspoint solutions are contained within a compact 4U chassis and controlled by COBALT WAVE control panels which are available in four models: CP-44, CP-42L, CP-78 and CP-84L.
• COBALT ARIA OG-AUD4-DANTE : The COBALT ARIA OG-AUD4-DANTE is a 12G 4-channel unit that simultaneously embeds and de-embeds audio between SDI, DANTE, AES and MADI with flexible routing and mixing and built in Frame Sync capabilities. ARIA is ideal for managing audio in large studio facilities, sports venues, concert halls, and houses of worship where many audio channels must be carried, multiplexed, and combined with video.
• PACIFIC Encoder and Ultra Low-latency Decoder: COBALT PACIFIC 9992-ENC software defined broadcast openGear encoders bring broadcast-grade technology to Pro AV. The software-defined architecture allows up to 4 channels to be added with HEVC video encoding for compression efficiency, while supporting existing MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC.  The PACIFIC ULL-DEC card decodes H.262 (MPEG-2), H.264 (AVC) and H.265 (HEVC) and offers a full complement of audio decoding capabilities.  
• BBG-1300-FR RACK: The COBALT BBG-1300-FR openGear frame is ideal for remote applications. The enclosure can house two cards in a split width or 1 card in a standard width rear I/O module. Three units fit onto a single 1 RU tray for maximum.

Scalable Display Technologies Celebrates 20 Years of Innovation

Scalable Display Technologies will be marking its 20th anniversary at InfoComm 2024 welcoming visitors to Booth W664. The foundation of Scalable's technology was developed by Dr. Rajeev Surati and his thesis advisor, Dr. Tom Knight Jr., at MIT. Their pioneering work led to the creation of a camera-based calibration system for projectors. In 1998, MIT filed a patent for this technology, which was subsequently granted in 2002. Scalable was founded in 2004, making the company the original inventor and initial patent holder of camera-based calibration for projectors. The initial technology has become the backbone of Scalable's industry-leading software, enabling automatic calibration of color, intensity and geometry across multiple projectors to create seamless, high-resolution digital displays of unlimited size and shape.

Since 2004, Scalable has executed projects for brands like Google, partaking in installations like Pier57, and collaborating with institutions, such as the California Academy of Sciences and Ivy League universities. Listen Technologies, Ampetronic Showcase the Evolution of Assistive Listening Solutions

Listen Technologies and Ampetronic are bringing their full suite of solutions and a new Auracast broadcast audio-based product to Booth C8935. 

Listen Technologies and Ampetronic will preview Auri, a new product they have co-developed. Auri is the first complete, installed assistive listening system utilizing Auracast broadcast audio, a new standard for Bluetooth Low Energy, that will transform the way hearing assistance is delivered in public spaces.

Auracast broadcast audio can broadcast audio simultaneously to an unlimited number of Auracast compatible devices. In spaces where Auracast broadcast audio is available, people with hearing aids, cochlear implants, earbuds, receivers, or other devices that are Auracast compatible will be able to connect to a transmitter and receive high-quality audio without added noise or effects caused by the room environment. This will provide both improved experience and broader inclusivity.

It may take years before Auracast compatible devices are widely available and adopted. Auri is the first generation Auracast broadcast audio-based assistive listening solution that lets venues and end users access the emerging Bluetooth Low Energy Auracast market now.

Get Higher Learning at InfoComm 2024

As with every InfoComm, education is a major focus. This year, InfoComm 2024 will present Pro AV solutions for learning spaces across the trade show floor, a comprehensive education program featuring the HETMA Higher Education Summit, and tours of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

InfoComm 2024 will feature the two-day HETMA Higher Education Summit on Monday, June 10 and Tuesday, June 11. The program will feature panel discussions with industry thought leaders and interactive breakout sessions on the latest trends and innovations in higher ed AV. Sessions will focus on leadership and management, in-house integration, and students and AV. The summit is a great opportunity for engaging with fellow university technology professionals, sharing challenges, and learning from others’ successes. On Thursday, June 13, Lance Ford from Zoom will present the session “Funding Space Enhancements in Higher Ed.” He will share funding mechanisms to assist with implementing emerging technologies in the higher education space.

The Technology Innovation Stage (C8676) will host Trend Forecast: Learning on Wednesday, June 12. This panel discussion will examine hybrid learning as the new normal for education and spotlight strategies for monitoring and remote management for networked AV devices, technologies that work for both students and academics in terms of adoption and understanding, and AV predictions for the next few years. The panelists include Lance Ford from Zoom, Erin Maher-Moran from Johns Hopkins University, Britt Yenser from Northampton Community College, and Kat Taub from Audinate.

InfoComm will host two sold-out Integrated Experience Tours at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Tuesday, June 11. JVC Unveils Its First Ever 40x Zoom PTZ Camera Series

JVC Professional Video will debut its new KY-PZ540 Series PTZ Cameras with 40x zoom at Booth C4720. As the company’s first PTZ cameras to incorporate this focal depth, the KY-PZ540 and KY-PZ540N with integrated NDI HX3 capabilities are designed with JVC’s 4K imager. The cameras also feature JVC’s  Variable Scan Mapping technology, which dynamically scans the 4K sensor to produce a seamless and lossless image transition up to 40x in full-resolution HD. The cameras are ideal for large event spaces and instances when the need to zoom in from a distance is essential. 

[NDI Reigns over AVoIP Protocols]

“We asked our key customers what feature was most in demand and their request was for a PTZ camera capable of 40x zoom in 1080/60p mode at an affordable price point,” said Joe D’Amico, VP of JVC Professional Video. “We already have an award-winning PTZ product—increasing the zoom magnification while keeping the unit affordable made it possible for us to accommodate the needs of a larger segment of customers.” 

With JVC KY-PZ510 technology at its core, the new KY-PZ540 PTZ cameras incorporate the brand’s award-winning features, such as AI-enabled advanced SMART auto-tracking operation and NDI supported IP-based remote operation capabilities. JVC recently expanded its auto-tracking to include five new advanced features: Standard, Area, Stage, Wide Area, and Fine Adjustment modes. In addition, presets for exposure, color and image were added as well. These upgrades provide additional benefits in frame composition, zones, and modes of operation. There is also a USB video device class (UVC) available for direct connection to Zoom, Google Meet and other online video conferencing programs. 

CueScript Celebrates 10th Anniversary with New Solutions

CueScript is celebrating its 10th anniversary at the show by bringing a mix of studio-based solutions and products designed to deliver perfect prompting in the field. CueScript’s extended platform will include: CueVue, a new portable studio in a box; CueFlip, a smart folding field prompter and talent monitor; SayiT V2, voice activated software; CSMV222 prompter; a prompter that provides performance without compromise with a high bright display in a true 4x3 ratio; and Cue Script’s own CueTALK Cloud solution. All will be on display at Booth C 4916.

• CueVue: All the functionality of CueScript’s CueB, the hub of the CueScript prompting system, in a small field footprint. The CueVue can be run either on POE or USB. With four outputs, it is ideal for on-the-scene reporting and offers the ideal prompting solution for news stories and election coverage.
• CueFlip: CueScript’s CueFlip is a smart folding field prompter and talent monitor in a truly unique form factor that eliminates breakage concerns when transporting systems. CueFlip flips tradition with screens that fold face-to-face securely, eliminating the possibility of damaging outward facing displays. The easy to assemble design enables fast field setup with the highest NIT prompter screens on the market.
• CSMV222, a 22-inch Prompter: Two key features set the CSMV222 apart from its competition: the prompter’s 4x3 ratio guarantees larger letters than similar widescreen prompters, and the high bright display makes this the most readable prompter, period. TVU Networks' TVU MediaHub Makes NAB Show Debut

Visit TVU Networks at booth W2101 to see its new MediaHub platform released last month. This platform reduces the clutter of physical equipment and simplifies the process of connecting and distributing content. With limitless inputs and outputs, it ensures seamless content flow across SDI, various IP formats, and destinations. It enhances scaling production for both everyday programming and global events, managing new cloud and on-premises resources.

With real-time previews and straightforward drag-and-drop functionality, automation manages encoding, scaling, and decoding in real-time TVU MediaHub turns complex routing operations into a simple, intuitive process. This enables broadcasters to focus on delivering high-quality content, while the interface’s ease of use allows operators to manage inputs/outputs with minimal training. 

Also on display will be TVU Search. Powered by advanced AI, TVU Search streamlines ingesting, clipping, and distribution leveraging real-time metadata for a wide range of applications. Highlights include automating advertising reports for ‘in-game brand mentions’ and instant clipping and transcription for swift news production. Evertz Highlights New Features For Its Software Defined Video Networking Solution

At Booth SU2027, Evertz will show the latest updates to its Software Defined Video Networking (SDVN) solution, which is helping the broadcast industry transition to or expand all-IP infrastructures using SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS.

Evertz SDVN taps into the company’s wealth of experience in this area over the past decade and offers an end-to-end, format agnostic, versatile solution for moving to IP for both on-premises and the public cloud.

Among the new products on show at NAB 2024 is the NATX-LT, a next generation network fabric that offers a cost-effective entry point for both core or aggregation requirements in any media facility or mobile deployment. Fully integrated with Evertz' MAGNUM-OS, NATX-LT switch fabric offers flexible, format agnostic and scalable infrastructure options, allowing seamless routing for SMPTE ST 2110 and other media standards.

The second product introduction for NAB is the DARK DAWN 1616M. This is the first of a new generation of the industry standard, DARK Dante/AES67 interfaces. This update incorporates several key features that have been requested by users. The DARK DAWN range of interfaces are multichannel analogue and AES input/output devices intended to be installed in a studio setting where cosmetic appearance is important, in addition to providing the legendary robustness of the original DARK 1616M. As this is a 16-channel device, analogue and AES I/O follows that pattern. 

The channels are assigned in pairs between analogue and AES with a maximum 16 in, 16 out. The inputs are mic/line/ 48v switchable. Channel gain can be adjusted from the front panel or remotely via GlenController (Dante version), with UDP control via a separate network connection also possible. Network connections can be either Dante or RAVENNA/AES67. The front panel also includes 16 individual channel meters plus a single hi-res meter for setting individual channel level and a 1/4-inch headphone socket for the monitoring of all input or output channels. Loss of network or power supply is reported by GPO. Power is from twin multimode AC supplies at the rear of this 1u rack mounting unit. The front panel is beautifully machined from a single block of aluminum with no screwheads or connectors visible to enhance its appearance.

Glensound will showcase the latest developments in its practical, road-ready systems at IBC 2022 (Amsterdam RAI, September 9-12, stand 8.F72). The additional functionality is in response to the continuing demand from users in Esports and live events as well as broadcast. 

To meet the very demanding firewall challenges of audio in Esports, Glensound developed the GTM (Game, Team, Me), a networked device which ensures each player hears only his or her own game sound and communications with their team. Included in the multiple audio sources available to each player is de-embedded SDI audio: now GTM allows game audio to be embedded into the SDI feed for forward distribution.

“The GTM has really made an impact in Esports,” said Marc Wilson, managing director at Glensound. “A lot of major tournaments have adopted our managed, networked audio solution, and they specifically asked for this new function of game audio embedded into SDI. Glensound was an early adopter of the Dante audio over ethernet standard, and its networked products consistently support the standard. At IBC the company will add full support for AES67 audio, which introduces functionality—like the ability to handle higher encoding rates than 48kHz—which cannot be supported by Dante. 

AES67 is available in a plug-in hardware module, like the Dante networking. This also allows advanced applications: the Vittoria network bridge, for example, provides firewalled connection between two audio networks, and now one of those could be Dante, the other AES67, passing 32 channels of audio between them completely securely.

Also on display will be the Nomad portable live audio unit using standard cellular connectivity, including 4G. With an XLR input and a headphone jack, it provides an ideal solution for remote commentary or interviews with full talkback. The What: Glensound has launched the Virgil OB Dante / AES67 Headphone Amplifier with Local Analog Outputs.

The What Else: The Virgil OB receives two audio circuits from a Dante / AES67 network and routes one signal to the left and the other to the right channel of the headphone amplifier. A front-panel volume control enables the user to adjust the output volume of the headphones. The two incoming audio circuits are also presented on a pair of balanced analog audio XLR connectors that are located on the rear of the unit. A switch on the side of the Virgil OB sets these two outputs to be post or pre-fade of the front panel level control.

Manufactured from lightweight aluminum, the Virgil OB’s casing is designed to withstand the rigors of life on the road. It also features a rugged beltclip that enables the unit to be quickly and securely attached to both people and infrastructure. In addition to being suitable for low- and high-impedance headphones, the Virgil OB’s headphone amplifier circuit can be connected to both stereo headphones and mono earpieces, making the unit well suited for driving television presenters’ ear pieces.
